We also have an Honorary Consulate in Blantyre. This office holds passport forms and can advise on other consular issues.

Outside normal working hours a 24-hour emergency service operates. Calling 01 772 400 will give you the telephone number of the officer on duty. Please note that this service is only for use by British nationals in an emergency situation and must not be used if you require routine guidance or assistance.

It is essential that the High Commission knows of your presence in Malawi. If you are resident here or visiting for more than a few weeks, you should register online with us.

Once you are registered with us, your details will be passed to your nearest Consular Warden. These British residents have been appointed to assist the High Commission in contacting all British Nationals in case of emergency.

The High Commission also welcomes details of citizens of Commonwealth countries without diplomatic representation in Malawi.
